In today’s marketplace, foodservice professionals like to have the information required to make smart decisions, and they like to have it at their own convenience. Essentially, we’re talking about a place where foodservice operators, equipment dealers, consultants, and designers can all gather information on the latest trends and read about the newest solutions.
To meet these changing demands, the team at the Jay Mark Group has decided to develop a new digital resource for our customers and manufacturer partners. With the launch of our new website, our collection of dedicated pages on the factories and solutions we represent, and the release of our informative blog, Jay Mark aims to make the research and purchase of foodservice equipment and supplies as easy as possible for operators in the greater Chicago area.
“We’ve seen our customers change over the years,” says Jay Mark Group founder, Jim Heffernan. “Since 1990, the way people gather information before deciding how to build out their kitchens is completely different, and we’ve always been dedicated to staying current with those changes.”
Just like the equipment one might use in the kitchen itself, the research and purchasing process has evolved. We now have innovative technologies that speed everything up, and we’ve seen those innovations become amplified over the last two years.
“The last two years have resulted in numerous changes in our industry,” Jay Mark partner, Joe Pacentine says. “Operators can be smarter, safer, and more efficient now, and those shifts were almost forced on us back in March of 2020. But one of the best aspects of our industry is its resiliency. We will adapt and grow as we always have.”
From connected kitchen technologies like Powerhouse Dynamics to state-of-the-art pick-up cabinets from Carter-Hoffmann, the foodservice equipment we represent has played a huge role in helping restaurants pivot during the pandemic, and now many of those changes are here to stay.
To help operators understand how they can take advantage of changing trends, the Jay Mark Group has also developed a test kitchen facility where customers can come demo any of our foodservice equipment solutions. With stocked products inside this 1,500-square-foot space, our team provides excellent support with access to these solutions, as well as our corporate chef, who can provide personal demonstrations.
Our goal is to grow with our customers, providing great services and solutions rooted in our collective decades of foodservice experience. And we’re training the next generation to have those qualities, as well.
